We are so sad to share that our dear colleague, Julia Law, passed away on November 24, 2016 after a two year battle with mesothelioma. As an HR executive, Julia was a client at McKesson, Nike, and Coca-Cola. We were so lucky to have her join the firm in 2011. Beyond her competence, Julia brought a light and energy to her work that left her clients and her colleagues always better off for having worked with her.
Julia consulted with clients in functional and business unit organization design and talent planning. She led a number of initiatives aimed at the global redesign of the HR function, as well as other functions, and global business units.
Julia supported many multi-national companies in consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, and healthcare sectors, both as an inside player and an outside consultant. As the top HR officer for both Nike USA and McKesson USA, she was a key member of the executive teams of these core businesses during times of great change in organization and talent management. In senior talent management roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Julia was a leader in developing and implementing the global general management talent initiative that led to building a deep international pool of general managers across the company.
Julia was the co-author of articles on the subject of organization design and succession planning.
Julia lived in Europe and in Asia-Pacific during corporate assignments, and was most recently a resident of Nova Scotia.
